memories lose
filtered through
moisture density,
I’m quantified by
quadrants of life,
an imposed reality
impractical to
accept—like New York
streets amid harsh
winters, when the
gardenias are dead
and homeward is
the direction of
emptiness—perhaps I
will spend the evening
pouring candles, with
thoughts of frigid walks
on a fog drenched pier
in California

“All chaos results from the inner state of the individual and accumulates as the aggregate force of the collective. Consequently, the human species incites chaos and experiences the responses from the forces of nature, in whatever manner they materialize.”
