Railroad Tracks

A child I was,
                   baptized
   by tales
           of daring

pirates, or the
                  time I
   spent conjuring
           a life

of immortal
                  destinies,
   laying an ear
           to railroad

tracks listening
                  for inbound
   rumbles,
            proclaiming

arrival of my
                   future,
   or so
            I imagined

    As a child who was also baptized by such tales, I really appreciated this poem. The photography is also excellent.
