First Mountain

We take measure of each
Other, en solo, contemplating
Parallel theatres staged

By those outside our
Circuitry, and we respond
With careless notions,

Tainted judgments or
Tributes, our individuality
Mistook for autonomy

From inferable energies
Bound to us by quasiparticle
Strands of wisdom not

Yet merited, we act out
Liturgical diversions to evade
The compulsory ordeals of

First Mountain precepts
But the panoramic vision in
Our consciousness sets

Upon that distant peak,
A cryptic message charting
An unforeseen journey

“Whereas mindfulness is the awareness of influences, inner work is the management of those influences. A human being’s decisions around how to be influenced and how to influence, are wholly the domain of inner work.”
