Uncompromising Truth

My dreams once held
Covenant built upon presumed
Conclusions long ago

Faded into the endless
Procession of passing clouds,
Indifferent to my skirmishes

With unheeded warnings
Carried by brisk winds chanting
Across grassy plains still

Besieging me, but now, in
The autumn moons of my life,
I have made peace with the

Uncompromising truth
Of causal realities that teach me
The fierceness of gratitude
