Recurring Episodes

I choose to withdraw from
Aimless potencies that arrange
My life into recurring episodes

Of self-imposed reruns so
Easily miscalculated as beyond
My control until I heeded

The discontent of lethal
Thoughts inciting the oceans
Churning within me while

Violent squalls gather energy
To thrust my soul upon jagged
Rocks waiting to punish me

As if some pantheistic force
majeure, but instead tended my
Ingress into higher sentience

  1. I think I’m with you there. Walking toward not walking away from. That’s the key. We think of it as abdicating responsibility but we’re breaking the fences we don’t even know constrain us. Excellent insight always
